She has a passion for all aspects of Speech and Language Therapy and has chosen to continue to provide services for both adults and children in her private practice. She works with a range of professionals such as ENT Consultants, Neurologists and Paediatricians in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of speech and language disorders. She is trained to advanced level in the assessment and treatment of acquired and progressive swallowing disorders. Afshan has been a clinical supervisor to newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist in their posts working with both adults and children supervising them to autonomous practitioner status. She provides training to a range of professionals on areas of Speech and Language difficulties relevant to them.

"I included  pictures representing speech, voice and the areas of language in the brain, to show that it is our combined knowledge of anatomy, physiology,
neurology, psychology, linguisitics, paediatric development, clinical neurolinguistics and psycholinguistics that gives us the ability to plan therapy for all the people we care for. I strongly believe that although the processes of speech, voice and language are complex, therapy should always be easy to follow, manageable and achieveable"
